Murray River Trail Running Festival / Adventurethon

ABOUT:

Welcome to the 8th Annual JDRF charity “Run for a Cure” / Adventurethon. A volunteer run community event that raises awareness and funds to help find a cure for type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. The event has evolved over 8 years to cater to local demands with a large focus being on the river and now the trails that take in our local and unique conservation park at Kinchina. On offer this year we have exluded the out and back options over the mid and long course to make it a much more interesting point to point challenge. Both the Mid and Long Course will commence in the near by Kinchina C.P. looping around its stunning trails before rejoining the Lavender Federation Trail, via the Wetlands and alongside the River Murray to the finish line at Sturt Reserve.

This year we are pleased to announce a new event partner, Adventurethon! Adventurethon are a renowned Multisport Event company that direct Multisport Adventures out of Townsville, Magnetic Island, NSW, Victoria and W.A. S.A’s Adventurethon will follow a stage race format where competitors can choose distances and disciplines across Mountain Biking and Kayaking on the Saturday, and culminating with the JDRF “Run 4 a Cure” on the Sunday. Proceeds from the run will still go to JDRF as every other year. All MMI Events are based on adventure and Multisport Disciplines so it is an absolute pleasure to introduce the Adventurethon Series to South Australia for the first time!

Of course if you just want to run only, that is absolutely fine too! Just enter via our trybooking page on the link below! For more info on the Adventurethon Multisport Challenge across the weekend, please click here
