Sunday July 28th 2019 will see the 2nd anual running of the Federation Ultra Trail over 75km, 62.5km, 50km, 25km or 12.5km. The 50km sees 444m of vert, 50.4km mixture of gravel, dirt, sand, rocks and sweet single track! 8 refreshment/water stops and of course, obligatory race bling-finishers medal at the finish line…
Starting at Monarto Sports Ground next to Monarto Zoo, the trail follows the Lavender Federation trail via a unique Monarto Woodlands Conservation area and up to Callington Hill to complete a full loop of the newly formed Olearia Trail. Runners then take the ridge top of the Eastern Lofty Ranges with stunning views of the Bremmer Valley before taking some sweet single trail to descend back to the Monarto Sports Complex to finish the first half of the course.
The second half and the beginning of the 25km course follow the Lav/Fed trail past Monarto Zoo and into the stunning Kinchina Conservation Park. Here, runners will see many kangaroos, unique rock formations and flora as they wind their way through Rocky Gully and ascend and descend White Hill and back onto the Lav/Fed trail.
The final kms take in pelican filled wetlands, the first bridge to span the Murray and a riverside finish at Sturt Reserve.
For those who completed the 50km in 2018, the course options open up to Level 2 or Level 3 in either a 62.5km or 75km course option. (Not available for first time runners) The course extension will remain secret until closer to the event!
"UNLOCK AND LOAD" Level Up format:
Runners who complete the beast that is the 50km Ultra trail, will hold the key to "UNLOCK" Level 2 on their return to subsequent Federation Ultra Trail Events. Level 2 will be a trail extension of approx 12.5km or 25kmand only runners who finish each Level can go on to "UNLOCK" a new level and increasing Federation Ultra Trail distance. Those that can defeat each year Levels distance will have the ability to take on, on either their 3rd, 4th or 5th successful attempt, the Ultimate prize, the 100km Demon that is the Federation Centurion Trail.

The 12.5km will start at Kinchina Conservation Park, car-parking area on Maurice Rd and finish at Sturt Reserve.
There will be 9 Aid stations located on course. water, hyrdration powder and race snacks available.
All entrants must carry their own basic first aid, space blanket, smart phone (preferably Telstra) and hydration device. No cups enroute.

Course markings will include these blue and white MMI Arrows and Red and white course tape markers.
Bag carrying service will be available; bags must clearly be marked with your bib number. Tags will be supplied
A bus will pick up starters from the finish line at the Murray Bridge Community Club by the finish line approx. 1 hour before your start time. This service will be on a first come first served basis and will cost $15 pp. Those that miss out can book the return to start post their run leaving at hourly intervals from 1pm.
The finish line is at the Lavender Federation trail head located at Sturt Reserve Murray Bridge in between the Community/Rowing Club and the Riverscape Café. Upon arrival There will be a finishers arch, complimentary cool recovery drink, official 50km and 25km finishers Medal, your bags/gear and left over race snacks. Hot food will be available from the Riverscape Café and Community Club. Restrooms are located next to the playground and opposite side of the Community Club. For kids there is the new $1,000,000 world class skate park, undercover playground, smashcourt and of course Murray Bridge’s famous Bunyip!
